Rinka Falls to Kamniško Sedlo — Half-Day Alpine Hike

A rewarding half-day loop from Solcava that climbs past the thundering Rinka waterfall, winds through the glacial cirque of Okrešelj, and crests the rocky saddle of Kamniško sedlo before descending back through the valley.

Rinka Falls, Okrešelj cirque & Kamniško sedlo

Start at the valley floor and ascend alongside Rinka Falls, crossing the wooden bridge at their base. The trail steepens through limestone terrain to the alpine cirque, then pushes up to the saddle hut before a scenic descent back to the trailhead.

Cross the wooden bridge at the foot of the falls and begin the ascent alongside the cascade, following the trail as it climbs steeply to the top of Rinka.

Frischauf Lodge at Okrešelj

Solčava

At the Frischauf Lodge in the Okrešelj cirque, take the left fork toward Brana and Kamniško sedlo. The lodge is a useful landmark and a possible rest stop.
